Taunton Polo Club

A fun afternoon, courtesy of Taunton Polo Club, was kindly arranged by Greta and Rupert Duff on Sunday 18th July.

A great turnout of 26 members, family and friends attended with picnics to enjoy a very informative introduction from Rupert on the history of the game, equipment and rules, followed by a short demonstration of the tack and techniques on the beautifully behaved Tara.

The group then watched the match which was the final of the Committee Cup, played over two days. It was fast and furious with lots of goals, and in true polo tradition, the group joined in with treading of the divets between chukkas.

Finally, Greta was invited to present the prizes.
